MORE ABOUT ME

A Creative Mind

I hold a Masters degree in Humanitarian Engineering with Sustainability from the University of Warwick in the UK.

I love expressing myself through creative mediums, be it calligraphy, mixed media painting, decoupage, poetry or learning new languages. Apart from English, I also speak Hindi, Sindhi, Arabic and French, and look forward to learning a lot more!

I have always been creative and curious, looking for the next big adventure in everything that I do. I carefully select the projects I take on and work alongside some of the most talented people in the industry.

I am truly passionate about collaborating with like-minded people passionate about using design thinking to put people and planet before profit. If you think you are one of them, get in touch!

MY IKIGAI

Ikigai is a Japanese concept that means "a reason for being".

It sure took me a while to find my IKIGAI, but here it is! I'd love to hear from you, whether you think you have it nailed down already, or are in the snakes and ladders journey to finding it ðŸ¤©

MY JOURNEY WITH DESIGN THINKING

My Background

I started off as Baby Perry, unaware of the treasure of potential I held as a designerly change agent. Like a game of snakes and ladders, my learning journey in the module has been like a Salsa dance-at times I came forward, climbing ladders and reaching new heights, at other times I went backward after being bit by failure (a snake). This journey has been an iterative process wherein I have changed my outlook and learning strategy, after every failure.

My phase of awakening, or as I like to call it, my ‘the Sun is also a Star’ phase, began when I took up a module called Design Thinking for Social Impact in my final year. I have always considered myself as an independent learner/worker but working in a team during design challenges has allowed me to challenge my biases. It has allowed me to smoothly shift between modes of convergence and divergence in thinking patterns. Working with other people helps me steer my train to different directions or halt it with ease, as required

This preparatory course gave me food for thought on what interdisciplinarity really means and how to apply it to my design studies. I have now come to believe that asking better, deeper, and more systemic questions, alongside active listening, is what is needed to co-create solutions for a new economic model promising a happier, more just, and inclusive future.
