PASSION FOR PAINTING
I am absolutely fascinated with mixed media art. From crayons and pastels at 5 years of age to canvas painting at 12, rock painting at 15 and decoupage at 17, stepping into the world of colours and layers has always been my paradise, ma zone de confort.
THE WORLD IS MY CANVAS
“Doing less bad is not equal to doing good”-Gunter Pauli. From a very young age, my parents encouraged to upcycle waste to decor projects. Back then, it was only a way to keep me busy; little did I know, it would define my purpose for impact in the coming years.
Thereafter, I did not miss any opportunity to further enhance my creativity. I participated in Entrepreneurship competitions inside and outside school in UAE. I was exhilarated upon receiving my first paycheck of AED 100 at a national level competition. There were three things I took away that day- one, there is no thing as “waste”, so start with what you have; two, use it sustainably; and most importantly, create value.
I am currently working on using waste as a medium in my paintings to deliver a message on circularity and the doughnut economy!
